LED solar light

Lighting devices that use solar energy to generate light offer an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional lighting systems, as they do not require electrical energy from the grid, but instead convert sunlight into electricity. LED solar lights are a special type of solar lights that use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as a light source.

The technology in which solar cells are used to convert sunlight directly into electricity is known as photovoltaics. Solar lights contain photovoltaic modules that absorb sunlight and convert it into electrical energy. A photovoltaic module, also known as a solar module, consists of several solar cells that are connected together. In LED solar lights and conventional solar lights, the solar module is usually integrated into the design of the light and is ideally located at the top to optimally capture the sunlight.

Many solar lights have an integrated battery storage unit that is charged by the solar modules during the day and makes the stored energy available at night. This enables continuous lighting, even when the sun is not shining. Furthermore, LED solar lights and solar lamps without LEDs are usually equipped with a twilight sensor that detects when it gets dark and then switches the lighting on automatically. This helps to save energy, as the lights are only activated when needed.
