Franz Eisele u. Söhne GmbH & Co. KG has been around for over 135 years. Since its foundation in 1887, the family-run company has developed into one of the leading manufacturers of pump and agitator technology for the biogas, agricultural and wastewater sectors. Innovation, quality and a close connection to its roots are values that still characterize the company today. The company has been firmly anchored in Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg since the 1920s.

With a clear focus on its core business, Franz Eisele u. Söhne GmbH & Co. KG was comprehensively restructured in 2012. By specializing in the field of pump and agitator technology, the former production hall for drum trolley construction was converted into a modern storage area and equipped with pallet racking from TOPREGAL. In particular, the large product portfolio and the high vertical range of manufacture make well thought-out warehousing essential. With the expansion of production capacity with a new production hall in 2017, the need for additional storage space continued to grow. TOPREGAL shelving systems were also installed here.

Structured processes and efficient workflows

Today, the storage system extends across several halls and outdoor areas. "We have an incredible amount of material in stock. Our product diversity requires flexible and efficient shelving solutions," reports Sylvester Höll-Meißner, Operations Manager at Franz Eisele u. Söhne GmbH & Co. KG. The robust KR6000 cantilever racking is used for the space-saving storage of hollow profiles. Pallet racks with a total length of 200 meters also ensure optimum use of the storage space in the halls. Push-through protection and collision protection ensure safety and visibility in day-to-day operations. In addition to pallet racking, shelving and storage racks were also integrated into the former production hall for barrel wagon construction in order to meet the various storage requirements. "The combination of different shelving systems gives us a high degree of flexibility, as we store both primary products and finished parts and spare parts," explains Sylvester Höll-Meißner.
