Timeless precision meets efficient organization

Since its foundation in 1922, Hermle DREHTEILE UND UHREN GmbH & Co. KG has stood for maximum precision in the manufacture of large mechanical clocks, mechanical movements and turned parts. The long-established company from Baden-Württemberg focuses on quality "Made in Germany" and employs around 165 people. With a very high level of vertical integration - from polishing, painting, printing, stamping and diamond cutting to barrel finishing - every production step is carried out in-house. Over the decades, Hermle has established itself as a reliable partner for a wide range of industries, from the aviation industry and medical technology to the furniture and automotive sectors. A particular focus is on the production of micro-turned parts.

To further optimize the internal manufacturing process, Hermle has integrated various storage and racking systems from TOPREGAL into its production. By using the shelving configurators, the company was able to put together its own customized storage solution. "Our production processes require precise material organization. The shelving systems from TOPREGAL have helped us to make optimum use of the available space in our production," reports Dominik Hermle, Managing Director of Hermle GmbH.

Modern shelving systems for structured production

A milestone in the company's history was the expansion of the site in 2022, when a new warehouse and production facility with an area of around 3,000 square meters was built in Reichenbach am Heuberg, where TOPREGAL solutions are used. The shelving systems are used here specifically in production and ensure order in the storage of raw materials, semi-finished parts and work materials. Hermle relies on pallet racking from the PR15000, PR9000 and PR4500 series. These robust shelving systems offer the necessary load capacity for the most diverse types of components. In addition, FB200 shelving racks provide a clear overview, while cantilever racks store long goods and bar stock in a space-saving manner.

"The uncomplicated handling and fast delivery were a big plus for us. And the quick work of the assembly team also made the project much easier," emphasizes Dominik Hermle.

With the expansion of the site, Hermle DREHTEILE UND UHREN GmbH & Co. KG has not only expanded its production capacities, but also further optimized the efficiency of its entire warehouse logistics. "Our decision in favor of TOPREGAL has proven to be absolutely right. We benefit daily from the improved warehouse structure and the associated increase in efficiency in our production," summarizes Dominik Hermle.
