At this time, SolidHub does not offer equipment with initial lift - a feature that raises the truck's wheel arms to provide additional ground clearance during load pickup and transport. However, we do have models in our line that have free lift. This feature allows the forks or load to be lifted without changing the overall height of the lift mast. An example of this is our HEF16/5 product.
Unfortunately, the maximum lifting height cannot be limited on our lifting equipment.
The devices are equipped with neither a mechanical nor an electrical lifting height limitation. Therefore, it is not possible to make any subsequent modifications or limitations.
To safely unload your new SolidHub stacker from the pallet, drive it off the pallet with the forks first. This will prevent damage to property or personal injury.
Our tip: Place the pallet in front of a kerb, as its height often corresponds to the height of a pallet. This allows you to drive your lifting device off the pallet almost at ground level.

Lifting equipment belongs in every warehouse
Goods in warehouses and production facilities are traditionally moved using manual pallet trucks or forklifts. The simplest and most durable option is a manual fork pallet truck powered by the operator's physical effort. It is ideal for straightforward transport of Euro pallets and similar loads that can be approached from beneath. A manual pallet truck is particularly attractive in terms of price because its purchase cost is lower than that of larger electrically powered models. It requires neither an electricity supply nor intensive maintenance, no special driving licence is needed, and operation is straightforward. These are only some of the reasons why such equipment belongs in every warehouse containing pallet racks. The racks should be fitted with rack-impact protection, which is required in commercial operations and checked annually during the rack inspection.
Construction and operation of a manual pallet truck
A manually operated pallet truck consists of a control element known as the tiller, forks and rollers. The steering rollers are positioned beneath the tiller, while the fork rollers are located towards the front of the forks. Pallet trucks must withstand demanding use and are therefore generally made from resistant steel, often powder-coated in a highly visible colour. A grease nipple on the side frequently simplifies hydraulic maintenance. A lever integrated into the tiller handle controls whether the load is raised or lowered. To pick up a load, position the forks completely beneath the pallet. Lower the tiller lever and pump the tiller to raise the forks to the required height. Pressing the lever lowers the load again.
Stackers combine the best characteristics of forklifts and pallet trucks
There are many reasons to purchase a stacker: a manual pallet truck may no longer provide sufficient lifting height; there may be insufficient space or no driver for a forklift; or the additional height may be required only occasionally, making a forklift uneconomical. Whatever the reason, a stacker fills precisely this gap. It provides a substantially greater lift height while retaining handling and space requirements similar to a manual pallet truck. The tiller controls lifting, and rollers allow the stacker to cover shorter distances through a warehouse or production area. Two forks approach beneath the pallet or other load in the same way, allowing it to be loaded onto a small commercial vehicle with ease.
