Cantilever Rack accessories

Header

Select the appropriate type of cantilever rack

Cantilever-rack uprights in different heights

With heights from 200 to 600 centimetres, cantilever-rack uprights provide a space-saving alternative to conventional pallet racks. Uprights for cantilever racks in the KR2500, KR3000 and KR6000 ranges differ in their maximum height and load capacity. In a double-sided configuration, one upright can support between 2,500 and 6,000 kilograms. Our KR2500 cantilever-rack upright has a distinctive design: while the arms on the other two rack types can be hooked in flexibly at different heights, the arms on the KR2500 are welded permanently to the upright. This provides additional stability and a higher load capacity. Each of the ten arms, which are 50 centimetres long, supports up to 250 kilograms.

The KR3000 and KR6000 ranges are also available in hot-dip galvanised versions for outdoor use or particularly corrosive environments. The substantial material thickness and exceptional stability prevent deformation when the specified rated load is observed. Choose a dependable foundation with TOPREGAL cantilever-rack uprights.

Bracing for cantilever racks

The bay width and height must suit the goods stored in a cantilever rack. Unlike wide-span racks and other heavy-duty racks , this is determined not by the beam length but by the bracing between the individual cantilever-rack uprights. Our bracing is available in widths of one metre or 1.5 metres, either painted in RAL5005 signal blue or hot-dip galvanised for outdoor use. Horizontal and diagonal braces are bolted alternately between the uprights to provide the cantilever rack with the required rigidity and stability. A complete rack bay therefore requires at least two uprights and the correct bracing to connect them. The precise number of bracing bars depends principally on the chosen cantilever-rack type and its height. To make selection as straightforward as possible, we supply only compatible bracing sets, including all required assembly materials.

Safety-related accessories for cantilever racks

Many customers also purchase industrial trucks such as forklifts, stackers or high-speed pallet trucks for a cantilever rack to simplify daily warehouse work. To protect rack uprights and the lower structure against collisions, cantilever racks require safety-related accessories such as impact-protection bollards, collision guards in a U or L shape, or even a complete impact-protection barrier. These protect both the cantilever rack and the stored goods and raw materials. Suitable protective equipment is also required by DGUV 108-007. Impact-protection barriers and collision guards are easy to secure to the floor using bolt anchors. These safety devices are tested and comply with the relevant standards and regulations. When buying a cantilever rack, choose suitable TOPREGAL safety accessories as well. These are German requirements; the applicable local requirements must be checked.

Buying a cantilever rack: useful information

Some are welded permanently in place, while others can be hooked in flexibly: these are the cantilever arms used in TOPREGAL rack systems. Several stable, robust arms are essential for storing long goods. Hardened steel combined with powder coating or hot-dip galvanising makes our cantilever arms exceptionally durable and suitable for demanding storage requirements. The material also determines the installation location. Painted cantilever arms are not suitable for corrosive environments, including outdoor areas. For these applications, arms for the KR3000 and KR6000 are also available in hot-dip galvanised versions. Depending on the rack type, select from up to three different arm lengths to match the quantity of goods to be stored. Each arm supports a load of up to 1000 kilograms, depending on the cantilever-rack type. Let TOPREGAL cantilever arms carry your goods securely.

Buy decking for cantilever racks

Extending cantilever racks with accessories is straightforward. TOPREGAL rack decking makes it easier to store parcels, smaller goods and individual items that could otherwise fall between the arms. Decking also helps prevent long goods from bending between support points. Choose wooden decking for lighter goods weighing up to 400 kilograms in indoor environments, or grating suitable for outdoor use with a load capacity of 500 kilograms. Additional retaining supports included in the scope of delivery secure the practical decking. These supports can also be ordered separately if you already have suitable decking for your cantilever rack.
