Buckling length

The shelf height, also known as the "buckling length", is the distance from the hall floor or one shelf compartment to the top edge of the next shelf compartment. It is of fundamental importance for the statics and load-bearing capacity of racks. In the case of a shelving unit with different distances between two shelf levels, the greater of the two distances is decisive for calculating the field load to use.
