Time-saving packaging, smooth delivery operations

For many companies, the start of the pre-Christmas period is accompanied by intensive and stressful working weeks. However, companies often face the most important sales period of the year in this quarter. Efficient and fast operating processes are required to ensure that the high number of orders can be processed. "Packaging equipment helps to relieve employees in the production process," explains Jürgen Effner, Managing Director of TOPREGAL GmbH.

Pallet wrapper ensures robust and secure packaging

High production volumes are often required before Christmas. These are stacked on pallets, wrapped and, in the final step, transported onto the truck. A pallet wrapper supports the employees in the process and creates robust, non-slip packaging. "The PWS1650 semi-automatic pallet wrapper from TecMaschin, for example, ensures secure packaging of all types of goods on pallets without any physical effort. This technology saves labor and increases efficiency. Irregularities in the packing process, such as loosely wrapped film, no longer occur and protect the packed goods with consistent quality," emphasizes Jürgen Effner. A single push of a button starts the packaging process. The film is wrapped around the pallet on a turntable. Thanks to the innovative pre-stretch system, the wrapping film is pre-stretched by up to 250 percent. This reduces film consumption - and therefore costs. It is possible to work with pre-installed programs as well as individually set wrapping cycles. Equipped with the appropriate loading ramp, the pallet wrapper can also be loaded by a high-lift or hand pallet truck.

Powerful strapping of parcels and consignment goods

In addition to large quantities on pallets, popular large-volume gift ideas such as tools, car accessories or toys are often sent at Christmas time. These also require strong packaging to ensure that the goods are transported safely. "With a tensioning force of 600 to 2800 newtons and a tensioning speed of 200 millimetres per second, the HU-P1316 manual strapping tool from TecMaschin, for example, ensures a fast packaging process using thermal strapping," explains Effner. "Thanks to the ergonomic arrangement of the operating elements, the process can even be carried out with one hand." Pressing the button starts the sealing process and creates a robust friction seal. The device is then released from the package by simply pulling the lower lever. The handy tool also has a rechargeable battery, enabling mobile working. This means that polyethylene (PET) or polypropylene (PP) tapes can be attached to parcels quickly, efficiently and without a power supply.

Air cushion machine for packaging fragile goods

Fragile goods are often included in parcels. It is advisable to wrap products made of glass or porcelain, for example, in film so that they are transported without any damage. "The LPM16 air cushion machine from TecMaschin seals air cushions and bubble wrap. The machine produces 16 meters of air cushion material in just one minute and different materials such as polyethylene or polyacrylic film can be used," says Jürgen Effner. To do this, the roll of bubble wrap is simply placed on the hanger and then threaded through the film guide and into the feeder. Commercially available bubble wrap can be hung in the roll holder. With dimensions of 167 x 370 x 250 millimetres and a weight of 8.5 kilograms, the bubble wrap machine is light and user-friendly. Multifunctional packing tables offer the option of storing tools such as air cushion machines or manual strapping tools and using them for packaging processes. All the materials and equipment required for this are ergonomically bundled within easy reach, which reduces additional walking, bending and reaching. The MFP1000 packing table from TOPREGAL can be equipped with or without castors, for example. The load capacity is 500 kilograms with castors and 2,000 kilograms without castors.
