Solar bench seat with integrated charging function
The SBS170i solar bench complements TOPREGAL's own range of solar technology and business equipment. "As a stable seat and practical option for charging mobile devices, the bench is suitable for outdoor areas of companies, hotels or public buildings such as libraries or universities," says Jürgen Effner, Managing Director of TOPREGAL GmbH. "In the version with a Bluetooth speaker, music or other audio files such as voice recordings can also be played via the bench if desired."
Frame and solar panel suitable for permanent outdoor use
With compact dimensions of 1,700 × 450 × 455 millimetres (W × D × H), made of galvanized and powder-coated sheet steel and with a load capacity of up to 300 kilograms, the solar bench with IP54 meets the requirements for permanent outdoor use. Smartphones and other devices can be charged via the weather-protected USB type A and USB type C ports. Compatible devices can even be charged wirelessly on the integrated Qi charging surfaces: This technology uses electromagnetic induction. The 1,250 × 350 millimetre, 90-watt solar module is integrated into the seat and protected from the weather by the robust surface. "The energy is stored in a lithium iron phosphate battery with a nominal voltage of 12 volts and a nominal capacity of 55 ampere hours. This means that the charging points and the automatic LED ambient lighting remain functional even in changeable weather conditions. The lights, which are located under the bench, switch on automatically when it gets dark and switch off again when it is bright enough. If required, however, the lights can also be switched off using a switch under the seat," reports Effner. The lighting is operated with 12 volts, has an output of 10 watts and a color temperature of around 3,500 Kelvin.
