Help for helpers - TOPREGAL donates protective masks to clinics in the Esslingen district

Especially in the current phase of the many coronavirus illnesses in the area, this donation in kind is connected with a thank you to the doctors and nursing staff who have already been tirelessly performing their important service for the patients for weeks. The procurement of urgently needed protective equipment, which includes disposable face masks, must be made as quickly and easily as possible for the clinics. Every day, the media report on delivery problems and bottlenecks in procurement logistics, as also demonstrated by Minister President Winfried Kretschmann's appeal to industry in the southwest at the end of March. "Without further ado, we took up our existing contact with a manufacturer in China and organized the rapid delivery of the protective masks by air freight," informs company owner Jürgen Effner (pictured right) about the origin of the masks. The Filderkliniken in Bonlanden will receive 1,000 protective masks in the form of a donation in kind. The clinic on the Filder recently received a delivery, but in the current situation it is not assured that the next required delivery will also arrive on time. Informs Mrs. Riehm (nursing service management) at the handing over about the unplannable condition of the protective equipment procurement.

Michael Hedtrich, Commercial Director of the Esslingen Clinic, is very pleased about the donated total of 3,000 face masks for himself and the numerous employees of the clinic. It eases the currently strained procurement logistics at least for a few days.
