TOPREGAL is expanding its product range with an electric road sweeper approved for use on public roads: the wipeket SKM200E. “The battery-powered SKM200E road sweeper is not only suitable for use on factory yards or company premises. Thanks to its road approval, it can also be operated on public roads and pathways. This allows cleaning work to be extended to public areas and continued at the next location without the need for additional transport vehicles or trailers – a real saving in time and costs for the day-to-day operations of municipalities, local authorities, landscaping companies or cleaning service providers. To obtain approval, it is sufficient to permanently attach an owner identification plate on the left-hand side and submit the inspection report to the registration authority,” explains Jürgen Effner, Managing Director of TOPREGAL GmbH.

Efficient cleaning for indoor and outdoor areas

With a cleaning performance of up to 22,000 m²/h, a working width of 2.2 metres and a 240-litre dust container, the road sweeper is suitable for industrial and urban applications. Typical areas of use include paths, pedestrian zones, warehouses, car parks, inner courtyards, schoolyards as well as park and event areas. With a rotational speed of 180 rpm, the main brush and four side brushes made of high-quality polypropylene bristles ensure efficient and thorough cleaning. “To ensure high visibility for other road users, the SKM200E is equipped with roof-mounted warning lights at the front and rear, reflectors on all sides, headlights and rear lights. It reaches a maximum speed of 18 km/h and can handle gradients of up to 20 percent,” Effner adds. The road sweeper comes as standard with indicators, horn, handbrake and LED lighting. Additional features include a reversing camera for improved visibility when manoeuvring, windscreen wipers for clear vision in rainy conditions and a fire extinguisher for increased safety.

Quiet and emission-free thanks to battery power

Powered by 12 lead-gel batteries with a nominal capacity of 300 Ah and a total nominal voltage of 48 V, the SKM200E offers an operating time of four to five hours with a charging time of eight to ten hours. “As an electric model, the road sweeper is significantly quieter than conventional petrol- or diesel-powered machines. This not only reduces noise levels in densely populated or noise-sensitive areas, but also eliminates harmful exhaust emissions. The electric motor therefore protects the environment and noticeably improves working conditions for operating personnel,” says Effner. The SKM200E can be charged from any standard power socket.
