For more cleanliness in the warehouse

There is a lot of activity in warehouses. Goods are moved in and out on a daily basis - and sometimes dirt is created in the process. After all, tire treads, wheels or shoe soles repeatedly carry dirt into storage areas. And from there, dirt can sometimes be carried into more sensitive areas. "In general, bearings should always be kept clean and tidy. This not only increases the service life of transport and storage equipment, but also minimizes risks to occupational safety and the health of employees," says Jürgen Effner, Managing Director of TOPREGAL GmbH, adding: "However, cleaning equipment such as scrubber dryers, ride-on sweepers or wet/dry vacuum cleaners help to ensure that regular cleaning does not take up too much time and distract from other activities. However, depending on the company and warehouse, there are other requirements that need to be taken into account when choosing a cleaning machine."

Maneuverable scrubber-driers for indoor areas

Scrubber-driers are suitable for cleaning small to medium-sized indoor areas, for example. The combination of brush motors and suction motors, which then suck up the dirty water with the help of a squeegee, ensure efficient cleaning. Depending on their size, the appliances are also suitable for use in narrow corridors or corners. "Our SWM30 model from wipeket is particularly maneuverable with a brush diameter of 43 centimetres and an ergonomically adjustable drawbar. With a width of 70 centimetres and a weight of just 60 kilos, the scrubber dryer has a compact design and is easy to handle. The 2.5 meter long power cable ensures a power supply via standard 220 volt sockets. Thanks to its low-noise polyurethane castors, the scrubber dryer can also be used in office buildings, public facilities or libraries. "The SWM50E battery-operated scrubber dryer also cleans quickly and easily with its 49-centimeter brush - and thanks to two integrated 12-volt batteries, it is also cordless. In addition, a battery life of 4 hours of continuous use makes it the ideal cleaning machine for supermarkets. After six to eight hours, the appliance is fully charged again and ready for the next cleaning job," adds Effner.

All-purpose vacuum cleaner for floors and fabrics

Wet/dry vacuum cleaners are particularly suitable for removing different types of dirt such as dust, sand, debris, small metal parts or even liquids from surfaces. With different attachments, the appliances can vacuum both dry and wet and are suitable for cleaning various floors, leather seats or even fabrics. "The NTS80 wet/dry vacuum cleaner from wipeket, for example, has a powerful motor with high suction power of up to 250 mbar and a dirty water tank with a capacity of 80 liters. The vacuum cleaner is a reliable all-purpose vacuum cleaner that is also easy to move thanks to a tilting chassis with a stainless steel bracket and four castors," says Effner. Thanks to the large tank in combination with an 8-meter-long cable, the appliance is also suitable for large areas in office buildings, hotels, workshops or retail outlets.

Battery-powered cleaning machines for large areas

Ride-on sweepers or ride-on vacuum cleaners are particularly suitable for large areas. Battery-powered machines not only enable cordless, but also low-noise operation. "With the SWA70-1 battery-powered ride-on scrubber-dryer, up to 3,300 square meters per hour can be cleaned quickly and conveniently - such as tiled, concrete, epoxy resin floors or other surfaces. Two 12-volt rechargeable batteries ensure a running time of three to five hours," says Effner. The intuitive operation, such as raising and lowering the brush and the suction device using levers, a small turning radius and compact dimensions of 595 millimetres x 1,310 millimetres x 1,100 millimetres also make flexible handling possible. "The AKM80-1 battery-powered ride-on sweeper also runs purely electrically and has a running time of up to three hours. The large ride-on sweeper can be filled with 22 liters of fresh water, which wets the floor with a spray mist. This technology prevents dust from being whirled up and all the dirt is transported directly into the 92-liter dust tank," explains Effner. Three brushes enable a cleaning width of over one meter. The side brushes with a diameter of 44 centimeters transport all the dirt under the machine, where the long main brush ensures that the swept material is conveyed into the dust tank. Thanks to the high drive power of 1,200 watts, the AKM80-1 ride-on sweeper achieves an effective cleaning performance of 7,200 square meters per hour. "This makes cleaning large areas very efficient. At the same time, the sweeper is easy to drive thanks to the accelerator and brake pedals, just like a car - after a short safety briefing for each employee," concludes Effner.
