TOPREGAL only offers new, tested shelving and products that meet the highest quality and safety standards. These include the "Guidelines for safe working" of DIN EN 15635 and the German Social Accident Insurance DGUV 208-061 guideline for "Storage facilities and equipment". To this end, TOPREGAL has its products voluntarily tested once a year for load, rigidity and stability. The load plates supplied with the individual shelf types indicate the maximum shelf and bay loads.
Tested quality and safety
The current regulations for the operation and testing of shelving are DIN EN 15635 "Fixed steel shelving systems - Use and maintenance of storage equipment". DIN EN 15620 "Fixed steel shelving systems - Adjustable pallet racking - Limit deviations, deformations and clearances" and DIN EN 15629 "Fixed steel shelving systems - Specification of storage equipment" provide guidance on the planning and procurement of shelving systems.
The testing of shelving is an essential part of DIN EN 15635, which emphasizes that storage equipment is only designed for careful use. No additional forces may occur when placing or picking up loads. The great responsibility of the operator to keep the racking in a proper condition is emphasized, as is the fact that the racking must be checked regularly for safety and especially for possible damage. All shelving must be systematically and regularly inspected, usually from the top of the shelving, although the lower part of the shelving is where most damage is likely to occur. If there is reason to assume that damage is also to be found in higher areas, more intensive inspections must be carried out in accordance with DIN EN 15635.
Shelving inspections by TOPREGAL professionals
In addition to providing advice, supplying and installing shelving, TOPREGAL also supports customers with regular shelving inspections.
