The efficient utilisation of parking spaces is a key concern for companies, local authorities and property owners. With a self-supporting canopy, you can make the best possible use of the available space and optimise the number of parked cars. The solar carport not only protects against the weather, but also offers the possibility of generating environmentally friendly, green electricity thanks to the integration of solar modules.
Thanks to the roofing, loading and unloading is possible in all weathers without any problems and the vehicle fleet is protected from soiling. In addition, there is no need to clear the car parks when it snows in winter. The electricity generated can be used in a variety of ways, for example to power the car park lighting, to charge electric vehicles or to feed into the public power grid.
Thanks to the use of robust, stable and hot-dip galvanised Steel, the frame construction is corrosion-resistant, hail-proof and frost-proof. Thanks to the self-supporting design with the compact dimensions 6.120 mm x 5.450 mm x 3.460 mm, no complete redesign of your car park is required for the structure. With the help of an integrated rainwater gutter system, rainwater can be collected and used to irrigate green areas, for example.
The single-sided canopy with its one-foot design is ideal for smaller car park areas. The 15 solar modules have a rated output of up to 6,3 kWp and can generate an optimum efficiency of up to 21,51 %. This means that small areas can be utilised efficiently and ecologically.
The canopy allows you to charge your electric vehicle at any time - during the day, at night or in bad weather. The electricity generated by the solar modules flows into the supplied control cabinet, which contains a powerful battery storage unit with a capacity of 40 kWh. To protect the battery from complete discharge, a mechanism is installed that limits effective utilisation to 30 kWh. The control cabinet also houses all the necessary technical components, including an inverter and a fuse box. These components are responsible for the control and interaction of the car park shelter and ensure operation with minimal maintenance.
Simple, flexible use: the car park shelter from SoloPort
A code-protected control panel is mounted on the side of the control cabinet to start the charging process and prevent unauthorised access. As soon as access is authorised, the wallbox installed on the outside of the control cabinet can be used. This has seven adjustable power levels between 1,4 - 7,3 kW to charge your electric vehicle. In addition, there are two 230 V sockets next to the wallbox, which are easily accessible and enable the use of green electricity for other electrical appliances such as hoovers, lawn mowers and tools. E-bike batteries and other battery-powered devices can also be safely charged here.
With the right app: everything at a glance at all times
The "SmartESS" app specially designed for solar roofs (available in the App Store or Google Play Store, or as a desktop version) makes it possible to monitor the battery charge level and the current energy production of the solar modules - as well as other important measured values, provided there is an active WLAN connection to the roof. If no WLAN connection is available, there is the option of using a separately available SIM card.
Robust and innovative canopy solution
The single-sided design provides a canopy for 2 parking spaces. With a roof load of up to 100 kg/m² and a wind load of up to 108 km/h as well as the high-quality workmanship, the high stability of the canopy is ensured.
Functional LED lighting, equipped with a motion detector, ensures a safe and well-lit path to the canopy even in the dark.
Easy to add and expand
With its ingenious and modular design, the basic field is an effective basis. Here, 2 Upright profiles are anchored in the ground using an appropriate foundation. You can extend the basic field at any time with a standardised SoloPort Add-on field at any time.
Self-sufficient thanks to green electricity: the car park canopy with solar roof
The completely self-sufficient car park canopy with solar is a stand-alone system and is not connected to the public electricity grid, so registration with the Federal Network Agency is not necessary. You also do not need authorisation from the grid operator.
In Germany, depending on the federal state and district, a building notification or building permit may be required. The basis for this is the applicable state building regulations. Authorisations must also be obtained for feeding into the public electricity grid. Please enquire with the relevant authorities prior to installation. We cannot provide any information on legal regulations outside Germany. Please contact the public authorities responsible for your area for more information.
Planning permission
As a rule, a building permit is required for this type of parking lot canopy, the requirements for which may vary from country to country. All certificates required for the European Union for the parking lot canopy are available and will be issued upon purchase.
