Compact storage platform with space-saving staircase solution

The IMAD storage platform, with external dimensions of 5,35 m x 5,35 m x 2,5 m, creates additional usable space without the need for costly extensions to existing hall structures. The platform’s usable area is 5100 x 5100 mm, whilst the clear height beneath the platform is approx. 2.150 mm. Thanks to its compact, freestanding design, this complete solution is particularly suitable for smaller storage areas, order picking zones or workshops where additional usable space needs to be created within existing halls. The side-integrated staircase with its 1530 x 1070 mm-wide landing provides space-saving access to the second level and ensures short walking distances during daily warehouse operations.

Despite its compact dimensions, the structure provides a stable storage area with a perimeter railing and an integrated, 2.000 mm-wide transfer station for efficient goods handover by forklift. The open design with just 6 supports also ensures good usability of the space beneath the platform. Thanks to the modular system concept, the storage platform can be extended or adapted at a later date should requirements change.

Additional storage space without extending the warehouse

The IMAD mezzanine creates additional storage, work and order-picking space within existing buildings without the need for structural extensions. The additional level can be used flexibly for storage, order picking or work areas.

Particularly in storage and production areas with limited floor space, the modular steel structure allows for better utilisation of the existing hall height.

Modular system for flexible extensions

The IMAD is based on a modular system design with standardised components. This allows the storage platform to be extended as required or adapted to changes in storage structures. Additional platform modules can be attached in various directions to expand the existing area.

The standardised design simplifies project planning and allows for subsequent expansion of the storage platform.

High stability for commercial use

The steel structure of the storage platform is designed for a uniformly distributed live load of 500 kg/m². Main and secondary beams are bolted together, ensuring even load distribution.

The structure was developed in accordance with EUROCODE guidelines and has been statically tested. Manufacturing is carried out in accordance with DIN EN 1090. This makes the storage platform suitable for use in storage, production and order picking areas.

Efficient use of space thanks to a reduced number of supports

A particular advantage of the storage platform is the reduced number of columns. This means the space beneath the platform can be utilised more effectively, for example for storage areas, workstations or access routes.

Depending on the design, different platform shapes and numbers of supports are used, tailored to the specific hall layout. This makes the storage platforms suitable for both compact storage areas and larger order-picking or work areas.

Flexible access and safe use

The storage platform can be fitted with various stair and access solutions. Depending on the complete package, different stair positions and access solutions are used, tailored to the specific hall layout.

Handrail systems with a height of 1.100 mm above walking level, as well as integrated transfer stations, support safe use in daily warehouse operations and facilitate the transfer of goods by forklift. This shortens walking distances and allows goods to be transported more quickly between levels.

Heavy-duty and practical platform decking

The bolted wooden decking with a natural finish on top provides a stable and durable working surface for daily use. At the same time, the white underside of the decking ensures brighter storage and working areas beneath the platform.

This ensures the area beneath the platform is better lit and more usable in day-to-day operations.
