The GSE12/4 from SolidHub: a 3-wheel electric forklift with an innovative Li-ion battery

The SolidHub GSE12/4 is a state-of-the-art 3-wheel forklift specially designed for use in warehouses and industrial environments. With its electric drive and powerful lithium-ion battery, it offers an environmentally friendly and efficient solution for material transport. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, Li-ion batteries offer a range of advantages:

1. Faster charging times: Li-ion batteries can be charged in less time, reducing the forklift's downtime.
2. No memory effect: they can be recharged at any time without their capacity decreasing over time.
3. Longer service life: Li-ion batteries have a longer service life than lead-acid batteries, resulting in lower maintenance costs and less frequent replacement.
4. Higher energy efficiency: their improved energy efficiency leads to longer operating times between charges.
5. Environmentally friendly: they contain no heavy metals and are more environmentally friendly to dispose of.
6. Lower maintenance requirements: unlike lead-acid batteries, Li-ion batteries do not need to be regularly topped up with distilled water. This saves a considerable amount of maintenance time and avoids the cost of an Aquamatik system.

The Li-ion battery of the GSE12/4 has a high capacity of 280 Ah at a voltage of 24 V. This battery enables fast charging in just 5,5 h, meaning that the forklift is quickly ready for use again and downtime is minimised. Once fully charged, the forklift offers an impressive operating time of up to 4 - 6 h.

Many advantages thanks to its narrow width: the GSE12/4 forklift

With its compact dimensions of 900 mm x 2.860 mm x 1.995 - 5.150 mm, the GSE12/4 is particularly suitable for narrow and confined working areas. This design allows the GSE12/4 to pass effortlessly through most standard doors and gates, making it an ideal vehicle for internal transport. Despite its compact design, the forklift has a relatively low dead weight of 2.085 kg, making it easy to manoeuvre and reducing floor pressure. This is particularly advantageous in sensitive working environments. The forklift has a very short wheelbase and a single rear wheel, giving it an exceptionally small turning radius of just 1.508 mm. This small turning radius is ideal for manoeuvring in confined spaces and between rows of shelves, and increases flexibility when placing and retrieving pallets.

Easy and convenient control directly from the driver's seat

The controls of the GSE12/4 are designed to be operated conveniently from the driver's seat. Functions such as raising and lowering the forks, tilting the forks and lateral fork adjustment are easy to handle, increasing operator productivity and safety. The hydraulic side shift allows you to move the fork carriage sideways easily and conveniently from the driver's cab to enter pallets.
