Tradition and innovation - optimising warehouse logistics at ECO Schulte

For almost a century, ECO Schulte has stood for tradition, quality and innovation in the manufacture of high-quality door components. The medium-sized family business is now managed by the third generation. It is one of the TOP 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. The ECO Schulte Group develops and produces a comprehensive system range of door fittings, door closers, locks and hinges at sites in Germany, Poland, Austria, China and Portugal. The company's constant expansion, particularly at the Luckenwalde site in Brandenburg, has brought with it new logistical challenges. "With over 17,000 different items and constantly growing production, it quickly became clear that we needed optimised warehousing," explains Martin Wramp, Industrial Engineer at ECO Schulte. In order to cope with the growth, completely new layout plans were developed for three halls. The aim was to create efficient and independent logistics areas.

Tailor-made solutions

ECO Schulte found the solution for the expansion in Luckenwalde at TOPREGAL. The company's planners were quickly impressed by the clear and user-friendly website and the ease of use of the configurators. They opted for pallet racking including collision protection, a pallet wrapper and the SWA70 and SWM20E scrubber dryers. "Configuring the racking was so simple that you didn't really have to look anywhere else. You can plan everything from start to finish, see it in 3D, print it out - and you also have a price at the end," says Martin Wramp. In addition to the user-friendliness, the attractive prices and short delivery times were decisive factors in the purchase decision. "Having a complete high-bay rack in the yard within three days is not a matter of course. In addition, there is the in-house assembly service, which can be booked to match the delivery date of the goods and installs everything professionally and neatly," he adds.

Successful cooperation

Martin Wramp is particularly positive about the customer service at TOPREGAL. "Whether on the phone or in writing, every contact was friendly and courteous. We received an offer, a solution to problems and complaints and answers to all questions within a very short time. In autumn 2023, we were even invited to the Bundesliga match of VfB Stuttgart, which TOPREGAL GmbH sponsors, to honor the good cooperation. An unforgettable experience." Based on these positive experiences and the continued successful cooperation, the ECO Schulte main plant in Menden now also wants to rely on TOPREGAL's expertise and products for its logistical requirements.
