This is possible with our post-hole auger EBM540. With a rotational speed of 540 rpm, the power take-off enables the earth auger to bore through even the hardest and driest soil. The earth auger consists of two right-turning augers fitted with replaceable, hardened cutting edges at the tip. To enable smooth drilling into the soil, this auger is also equipped with a replaceable point.
The low dead weight of 85 kg and the compact dimensions of 750 mm x 600 mm x 1.200 mm for the complete assembly make it easy to mount the post-hole digger on a Category 1 three-point hitch. The 1290 mm long power take-off shaft hangs below the linkage. The post-hole digger is equipped with both a slip clutch and a shear bolt. These protective devices prevent engine or transmission damage if the earth auger becomes stuck in excessively hard ground.
The tractor transmission power to which the post-hole digger, including the power take-off shaft and earth auger, is attached should be between 25 and 50 hp.

The solid yet effective EB220 earth auger enables holes to be milled in soft to hard soil. The drilling diameter is 220 mm, with a maximum drilling depth of 600 mm. This is made possible by the overall auger length of 1.200 m and the hardened, replaceable auger attachments. Both the tip and the cutting edges, which are attached directly at the start of the auger flight, are made of hardened steel and are therefore ideally suited to penetrating harder ground. The low weight of the earth auger, 21 kg, allows for convenient handling and comfortable installation on the post-hole digger.
