Laminated safety glass meets the highest standards in terms of breakage resistance. It is made of two flat glass panes, into which an elastic but tear-resistant polymer film is inserted in the middle and glued invisibly. If a safety glass of this type should break, the panes burst into very small fragments, which however adhere firmly to the film. In this way, the risk of cuts is almost completely minimized. The existing residual load-bearing capacity of the laminated safety glass also provides security until the glass pane is replaced. This is why they are particularly suitable for locations at heights, such as balcony railings.
